Past and Present Service Work
Between 2010-2020 I served on the Board of The Nature Conservancy of Maine, who has protected over 1.7 million acres in Maine since being founded by Rachel Carson in 1956. TNC steward over 75 nature preserves, work to protect wildlife and their habitats, and support sustainable nature-based livelihoods. They encourage young and old to explore the natural legacy of Maine’s lands and waters—our native forests, wetlands, lakes, and hidden ponds—and protect them for future generations.
As a Co-Founding Board Chair/Trustee, I lead the formation of a new 501(c)3 utilizing place-based education practices focused on science and leadership. The program is now 10-years old and leading the state in aquaculture education curriculum for public schools. I have termed off of the board and currently serve as an Advisor.
For the past 12 years I have served as Treasurer and now Youth Sailing Chair of the Harraseeket Yacht Club.
